Greetings Drummers!

I am very excited to report that the last two drum circles (October 21st/28th) we’re the biggest drum circles in the history of Drumming From The Heart drum circles at the North Shore Hall in the last four years! Many gracious thanks and gratitude to those who turned out and made the circles so much fun. Also many thanks to Karen Jasmine and her Fire Dancers for making the last few circles even more exciting and entertaining.

This just proves to me that drum circles are becoming an ever more popular and fun healing vehicle that is so beneficial for the community. People come out and really enjoy the camaraderie, the music, the creativity, the healing, the good vibes, and the drumming!

Over the years I have continually espoused the many benefits and elements of group drumming that make it so dynamic and interesting. From entrainment to entrancement – it’s all good. It gives me such satisfaction to see how the regular participants have improved so much over the years and now enjoy the drum circle even that much more.

For some reason we have had a real jump in attendance and I suspect that the community (and the world) is becoming more open and receptive to healing group modalities such as drum circles. Once people understand that it’s not an unfacilitated environment and that you don’t have to be an expert to drum or enjoy drumming - they really open up to the experience and let it fill them with all the good things a drum circle can provide.

I am so very happy that more and more people are discovering and enjoying drumming. I am so proud of the bond that has formed over the last four years between all the attendees of the drum circle and how much it feels like a big family getting together every week. Thanks to all of you through the years – it would not be what it is without each and every one of you. I salute and commend you all. I am extremely grateful for your participation. Namaste…

I’m sure you’ll get the picture by looking at some of the above links and by doing some of your own research. Needless to say drumming and especially drumming in groups has many benefits and qualities that make it a valuable tool in healing communities and individuals. I think drumming creates a good vibration like the vibration of Love and Love is a very good thing to share and spread around don’t you think?! Peaceful drumming in a relaxed and courteous atmosphere is a very fun and loving experience.

I think the world needs more love and following my previous logic – the world then needs more drumming. Let’s all drum Peace, Love, and Compassion into the world. After that we’ll drum some Appreciation, Understanding, and Forgiveness in also for good measure - icing on the cake (Love cake!).

I invite you to come and drum peace and love into the world together to help make our planet a better place to live. Every Tuesday night at the North Shore Hall in Nelson BC that is what is happening.

The language of love and peace can be expressed in the form of music. Drum beats and rhythms can create these wonderful love vibrations.

In the Spirit of Love and Peace - See you in the circle…

Namaste

"Drumming From The Heart" public community drum circles are facilitated drum circles.

All ages are welcome. Absolutely no drumming experience required. If you own a drum please bring it, I have a limited number of drums I can supply. Any and all percussion instruments are also welcome, e.g. wood blocks, bells, tambourines, shakers, flutes, whistles, etc.. Remember - all you need is an open mind and an open heart. I encourage you to forward to this email to others or invite friends who you think may be interested in attending this community drum circle - the more the merrier! Drumming in your community is a wonderful healing process that strengthens and heals you, the community, and Mother Earth!

WHAT IS A DRUM CIRCLE?A DRUM CIRCLE IS A GROUP OF PEOPLE COMING TOGETHER TO CREATE IN THE MOMENT MUSIC USING HAND DRUMS AND PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS. A DRUM CIRCLE IS NOT A PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE PERFORMING A PREPARED PIECE OF MUSIC, OR A DRUMMING CLASS LED BY A TEACHER, NOR ANY GROUP RE-CREATING MUSIC IT HAS PLAYED BEFORE. DRUM CIRCLES ARE A FORM OF RECREATIONAL MUSIC MAKING WHICH MEANS THAT THE FOCUS IS NOT ON PERFORMANCE BUT RATHER ON PERSONAL OR GROUP DEVELOPMENT AND WELLNESS OR JUST PLAIN FUN.
May your life be filled with Eternal Bliss and Ecstatic Joy!

Thank You!
